Volunteers are needed to help with this Community Christmas Market. If you want to help out in any way, please go to

COM is also starting to sign up families for the Christmas Market. If you have
children age 0-18 and need some assistance with Christmas gifts this year, contact COM by calling 417-326-2679 to see how they can work with you to help you meet your budget needs.
At the market, parents will be greeted, and then guided through their assigned shopping time where they can personally choose gifts for their children. While parents shop, childcare will be available. Families can even take pictures with Santa! It’s a special way to celebrate the season and make sure every family has a merry Christmas.

Holy Saint Celebration after Faith Formation Classes
Holy Day of Obligation Mass Schedule:

To celebrate the Solemnity of All Saints, we invite you to come dressed as your favorite saint, armed with a basic knowledge of that saint’s life, and a desire to have faith, fun, and food with your fellow saints in training. All ages are invited to dress up. Don’t make it expensive, make it creative. There are a million things in your home, in your closets, in your drawers and in your garages that can be purposed for portraying our multitude of Holy Saints. As always, three CASH prizes will be awarded. Best Costume, Most Creative Costume, and Judges Favorite. You are WELCOME to attend Mass and Faith Formation Classes dressed as your saint. The festivities will begin immediately after Faith Formation Classes at 11:30am. Games will be had and fun for all ages shall ensue!

COATS FOR KIDS

Spread the News!!! Our Knights of Columbus #8931 will be passing out Coats for Kids (0-18 children and teenagers). There are no requirements….simply the child/teen must be there in person to be able to try on the coat. This is for ANY child! No questions! Just bring the child who needs a coat! The distribution will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on 1405 W. Fair Play St in Bolivar, MO on Saturday, November 14, from 12-2pm.

Creating a Safe Environment
Sacred Heart is committed to the mission and ministry of protecting our children and young people. Through the Safe Environment program, our clergy, employees, teachers, and our volunteers who regularly work with children and youth have been trained to support this effort to provide a safe environment for our youth. We believe strongly in our moral obligation to keep the young safe and provide them with a caring environment in which they can grow and flourish in their faith.
New Employees and Volunteers
Go to www.virtus.org, register for a VIRTUS training, review and sign the Code of Conduct, answer the Background Questionnaire, and submit the Background Check information.
Turn in the Background Disclosure and Authorization Form to your supervisor. This form is faxed to the Office of Child and Youth Protection by the parish or school: 888-820-6032.

Attend the VIRTUS training. Be sure to sign the attendance form at your training, and be present for the entire workshop to receive credit for attending.
