Parents, Please do not “drop off” your children for PSR rather remain as a family for the full May Crowning.
May Crowning is a traditional Roman Catholic ritual held during the month of May. It is a solemn procession and at the close of the procession the statues of the Blessed Virgin are crowned with a garland or crown of flowers honoring Mary as “the Queen of May.” Mary has been crowned Queen of Heaven and so we show her honor and love in a small way by bringing her flowers and crowning her “Queen of May”. Join us tomorrow for the procession to crown Our Lady. Everyone is invited! Young and old! We invited you to dress your best for May Crowning, and those who have just made their First Communion may wear their First Communion dresses. Everyone is also invited to bring either a flower, a bouquet of flowers, or a small potted flower as a gift for our lady. We will gather in the main hall in McKenna Hall.
